I’ve known Hayley and Omar for years, we grew up in the same town and over the years our paths have crossed many times. Omar is a musician who I’ve had the opportunity to photograph over the years and Hayley is midwife and educator. They have two young children and have built a beautiful life of music, family and love together in Highland Park.

After working with Hayley to create some new portraits, I asked her if I could come over and spend a morning with her and her family as they get ready for the day. I love these chaotic and messy parts of the day as a photographer. So many moving parts, people talking and cooking, and all the moments in between.
